Perth-based strategist and storyteller Miki Farmer, founder of TMFS International Pty Ltd, is leading one of the most forward-thinking education initiatives Western Australia has seen Building Futures in Western Australia. The campaign, commissioned by Cygnus International Pty Ltd in collaboration with StudyPerth, launches in January 2026 and aims to set a new benchmark for transparency and authenticity in international student recruitment.

As Campaign Director, Farmer’s goal is clear: to connect Mauritian students directly with Western Australian RTOs and colleges through real stories, not sales pitches. “Students deserve to see the people behind the institutions before they make life-changing decisions,” he says. “We’re not marketing dreams we’re showing reality, opportunity, and support.”

The campaign’s foundation is deeply human. Instead of outsourcing content or chasing viral trends, Farmer’s team at TMFS International is producing long-form, value-based interviews with college representatives, trainers, and current students already studying in Perth. Each conversation explores themes of student wellbeing, community, and the genuine support systems that exist within WA’s education sector.

Using data collected from years of student feedback, Farmer has designed the strategy to address real questions and concerns international learners often express when choosing where to study. Every video, story, and digital piece serves one purpose to build trust before enrolment.

“Western Australia has some of the most caring and capable educators in the world,” Farmer says. “Our responsibility is to tell their stories honestly to build futures, not just fill classrooms.”

With Building Futures in Western Australia, Miki Farmer and Cygnus International are not just promoting education they are redefining what ethical, student-centered marketing means in the global landscape.
